Using Reports

To begin with, we have provided five reports. All of these are under the 'Reports' menu in the top bar of the application.
Income Expense Report: Based on the items you have categorized, you will get a summary of your income and expenses. Your income is divided into primary income sources, Investment Income and any other categories created by you. All income which is not categorized will be clubbed under a common head 'Uncategorized Income'. Similarly, your expenses will be classified as 'Indispensable Expenses', 'Lifestyle Expenses' and any other categories created by you. Here too, all expenses not categorized will be clubbed under a common head 'Uncategorized Expenses'.
You can view the same information in a pie chart, by selecting the charts option.
Networth Report: Based on your assets and liabilities that you have entered in the application, you can view an updated networth report - a summary view as well as a detailed view. Please note that this will only compute your networth based on your last updated prices. So if you want to know what you are worth today, then first update your stock / mutual fund prices in the application (use the Update menu item on the top bar of your application to do this), and then view this report.
Capital Gains Report: Once your equity and mutual fund transactions are entered in the application, you can view a capital gains report, where you can view short term and long term capital gains.
My Portfolio: Using this, you can view the current value of your portfolio, including your traded investments, non-traded investments and cash/ bank balance.
Budget Report: You can create your ideal budget here! Use the 'Edit' option at the bottom of your budget report to activate the sheet. You can then go to any individual cell (in the budget column), and input what you feel your ideal/ budgeted amount should be under that head.

Simple! First update your equity and mutual fund prices (use the Update menu item on the top bar of your application, and update equity prices and mutual fund NAVs). Then view the Networth Report (under the 'Reports' menu on the top bar) to find out how much you are worth. Based on your assets and liabilities that you have entered into the application, you can view an updated networth report - a summary view as well as a detailed view.

To analyze your income and expenses, the easiest way is to view the bank account that you wish to analyze (use My Accounts on the left bar), and if you have categorized your income and expense statements, then view the chart which analyzes your income and expenses.
To set a budget for your income and expenses, select the 'Budget Report' under the 'Reports' menu item on the top bar. You can create your ideal budget here, by using the 'Edit' option at the bottom of your budget report to activate the sheet. You can then go to any individual cell (in the budget column), and input what you feel your ideal/ budgeted amount should be under that head.

  • " Liked the fact that I could track the closing balances in my 5 bank accounts."
  • " Could add and track multiple Mutual Fund schemes that I had bought, as well as monthly SIPs."
